If a relative may already be a member, you can add an email address they use under Privacy. You will not see a profile that uses it, and they will not see yours. The site will not tell you whether that address is here. Once an address is added, it cannot be removed, so check the spelling.
You do not have to be out on this page, or anywhere else, to use the site. A woman who demands that story in the first week can be told no. A small town where people know you is the neighbour version of the same care. Meet in a place that is public, and not the café your family uses, if that matters. Meeting safely still applies.
