Why we check your age

The age check is free. Until it is done, other members' photos stay blurred, whether or not they are explicit, and you cannot message, like, flirt, or upload a video. Search stays closed until your email is confirmed, you have added a photo, and the age check is approved. You can still upload photos and update your profile. A person on our team reviews the ID. Other members never see it, and it does not reveal who you are on the site. After the check, explicit photos stay blurred until you turn safe search off.

Upload a photo of your ID. Our team checks the date of birth. If we cannot read your face and date of birth, we reject the photo and ask for a clearer one. Your legal name is not shown on your profile.

Profile descriptions are reviewed before other members can read them. If a bio contains explicit written content, it is not published and the profile is left without that text. Your ID image is deleted after the check and is never shared or sold.

ID we can accept

The photo must show your face and your date of birth. We accept:

  • Passport
  • Driving licence (photocard, including a provisional)
  • PASS proof of age card
  • National identity card
  • Biometric residence permit
  • UK Armed Forces identity card
  • Northern Ireland electoral identity card

We use the image only to confirm you are 18 or over. It is reviewed by our team and deleted after approval. It is never shared or sold to third parties. How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
