A profile is read in a few seconds. Say where you are, that you want to meet a woman, and one thing you actually do. "Fun and easy-going" could belong to anyone. "I live in Leeds, I want to meet a woman properly, and I walk the canal on Sunday mornings" gives her something to answer.
Write it in the first person and keep it short. Two or three sentences are enough when they are specific. Say whether you want something steady or something lighter, so nobody has to guess. If you have been married, you can say so in a clause. The whole story can wait until you are talking. Dating after a divorce is there if that is the part you are stuck on.
If the empty box is the hard part, use Write a bio on the profile description. It drafts a short paragraph from the details you have already entered. Read the draft and change anything that is not you before you save. It will not invent a job, a hobby, or a town you did not put on the profile.
Use one recent photo of your face. Photos that get a reply covers what to crop out. Leave out your phone number, your workplace, your surname, and anyone else's name. Your first message is easier when the profile has already said what you hope for.
